Joseph Fuentes-Fernández, co-founder of Iconic Caribbean, is President of Fuentes-Fernandez & Company and has over 37 years of diversified financial management experience in the public and private sectors, including 27 years of contract auditing experience related to federal agencies. Fuentes-Fernandez has routinely served as project manager for audit work in accordance with GAAP, GAAS, and GGAS-Yellow Book. Joseph Fuentes-Fernández has served on the Federal Aviation Administration’s Accounting and Auditing Committee and as the engagement partner for the Front-End Risk Assessment on the Asset Control Area Program for the Office of Single Family Housing at the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). In 2013, Fuentes-Fernández uncovered a $4MM fraud for a private sector client that is a long-standing federal contractor.
